A downloadable asset pack

The Purple Valley Asset Pack is a collection of colourful and cute tiles and sprites. The tiles are 48x48 pixels in size and the characters are 2-3 tiles tall. These assets were originally made to be used in RPG-Maker MV, so the formating is according to the standards of that engine (except for the characters, which have more animation frames than RMMV would normally use).

The tilesets that currently are included are:

  • medieval european village (exterior)
  • modern town (exterior)
  • modern school (interior)
  • modern apartment and basement (interior)
  • desert town (exterior, heavy WIP)
  • spooky church/dungeon/manor (interior)
  • spooky graveyard (exterior, heavy WIP)
  • X-mas-themed gingerbread village (exterior)
  • stone age cave (interior)
  • mine (interior)

The animated characters come with a 4-directional 6-frame walk-cycle, plus a still frame for each direction. Currently there are only 3 animated characters (one human and two variations of a human sized easter bunny). I plan to add more characters. A skeleton and a human sized otter are already in the works as well as a human character template.

Even though the asset pack already has a considerable size, these assets are still work in progress and I will keep tinkering on most of them. This means that the pallette, textures and objects will be subject to change from time to time and some of the tilesets currently only have pretty basic textures and objects.

These assets are published under the CC-BY 4.0 license.
The terms of use are also included in the README-file, including a list of  "Dos and Dont's" for anyone who is not familiar with the CC-BY license.

Hey, I know this is a weird question, but how do you properly map the bed? I spent way too long trying to figure it out.

Hey there! I just double checked the tiles and it seems that an old version of the "interior-tiles-furniture-1" has snuck into the zip-file, which is missing the bed tiles. So I am not sure how you even attemted mapping a bed, but sorry for the confusion, that is entirely my fault. I have replaced the old file with the proper version. So if you download the zip-file again, there should be a bed, pillows and a bedsheet in the bottom right corner of "interior-tiles-furniture-1".
And thank you for letting me know! I hope now everything is in order now, but I will more thoroughly double check all the files over the next few days.

Thank you! Turned out to be a stupid mistake on my end. The bed tile was there, but I missed the bottom part of the sheet.

Love this pack, BTW!

Huh. Well, glad it worked out.
And thank you so much! I am glad you like my pixels :)

Hey, I did a mini game jam, it's so bad XD but everybody likes your tileset :)
